Designed for complexity

You have moved beyond basic tax preparation.

The right client is not defined by income alone. Private advisory is for owners facing decisions where timing, structure, documentation, and execution materially affect the outcome.

01

Growth created complexity

Multiple entities, employees, investments, or expanding operations require coordination.

02

Taxes feel reactive

You are tired of discovering your tax bill after the opportunity to plan has passed.

A major decision is ahead

Compensation, acquisitions, real estate, restructuring, succession, or an exit is on the table.

04

The IRS is already involved

A notice, audit, balance, lien, or filing problem needs experienced representation.

Meet your advisor

Jean R. Mervilus, EA

An advisor who understands the tax code—and the realities of owning and operating a business.

Jean didn't learn tax strategy in the abstract. He trained under practicing CPAs at a West Palm Beach firm before building and running his own group of companies spanning tax, accounting, insurance, and business consulting. That combination—hands-on training under experienced practitioners, plus years actually operating multi-entity businesses—is what shapes how he advises: he's sat on both sides of the table, as the advisor and as the owner making the call.

His approach to client problems is direct: understand the full picture before recommending anything, find the actual cause of the issue rather than treating the symptom, and push a case as far as it needs to go— especially when the IRS is involved. That's not a tagline; it's how he handles a resolution case or a planning engagement.

Jean is an Enrolled Agent, federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS, and a Certified Business and Tax Advisor (CTBA). He's currently completing a Master's degree in Accounting with a tax-planning focus and pursuing CPA licensure—credentials layered on top of an active practice, not instead of one.

Credentials: Enrolled Agent · Certified Business and Tax Advisor (CTBA) · Florida Insurance License
Education: BS, Accounting · Business Management & MIS · Master's in Accounting (in progress)
